Classic blue and white porcelain moon jar.
Classic shape, classic material, classic colours.
I don’t often work in porcelain – it can be tricky to work with. However making this moon jar was a very pleasant experience as the porcelain did just what I wanted it to do.
Handbuild, coiling clay into moulds to form hemispheres, which were later joined together.
Approx 15cm x 15cm
Made from Audrey Blackman porcelain fired to 1260°C, with shiny white glaze and midnight blue highlights.
