Wisteria Moon jar – large – end of line

Description

This is the largest Wisteria Moon jar.

I love the subtle, soft mauves, greens and blues on this Moon jar.

The Wisteria series was inspired by the Wisteria Walk at Greys Court, a National Trust House were I was exhibiting for the Henley Arts Trail.

I was attempting to show the wisteria blossom cascading down against a bright blue sky.

Handbuilt in white earthenware clay.  After glaze firing the Moon Jar was smoke fired:  this accentuates the crackle within the glazes and gives the naked areas of clay smoky tones
